This common problem can often be a simple fix. The noise problem in most restaurants and cafes is called reverberation noise or echo noise. This is caused by sound waves bouncing off reflective or hard surfaces like solid walls, glass windows, plasterboard ceilings and timber, tiled or concrete floors. 

The noise can be easily controlled and significantly reduced by applying some architectural acoustic wall panels or acoustic wall tiles to these surfaces. Acoustic Wall Tiles add an attractive architectural feature to the room and at the same time absorb much of the noise. Ceilings can also be treated with Acoustic panels and tiles. These simple options are often inexpensive and very simple to install. Remember the more coverage of hard surfaces you can treat the more noise will be absorbed but care should be taken to not over do it.
